Innate Ability: Icy Veins

Frostweaving spells can also damage allies (Ice-type Natelmon are immune). Whenever the Frostweaver would take damage from their own spells, they instead gain a stack of Icy Veins.

Whenever the Frostweaver has 5 or more stacks of Icy Veins, they gain a stack of Icy Veins at the beginning of each exchange and the intense cold begins to form a cloud around them, [[Rank]/2] feet in radius, that becomes a raging blizzard at the beginning of the next exchange. The blizzard deals minor Ice-type damage once per exchange to anyone, except the Frostweaver, within its radius. The blizzard does not obstruct vision.

Whenever the Frostweaver has 10 stacks of Icy Veins, they die. At the beginning of the battle the Frostweaver can instead treat their Frostweaving rank as one lower than it is (minimum of one) for the duration of the battle to be knocked unconscious when they reach ten stacks instead of dying.

Innate Ability: Chill of the North

Whenever the Frostweaver's area of effect spells are cast, they leave behind a patch of ice on the ground. Whenever an individual enters or starts the exchange in a patch of Chill of the North, they take minor Ice-type damage. Chill of the North patches are considered Difficult Terrain.

Innate Ability: The Price of Power

Frostweavers can use spells that they do not ordinarily have the Rank to access. The Frostweaver can use any spell in the Frostweaving school, except Dragonwrath, as long as they have that many stacks of Icy Veins.

Whenever the Frostweaver uses a spell that they could not ordinarily access via this innate ability, [[Rank of Spell Used] - [Rank]] stacks of Icy Veins they currently have become permanent for the duration of the battle and cannot be removed in any way.

Rank I - Frostfall [5]

The Frostweaver instantly releases a blast of icy energy in an area centred on them, up to [Rank/2] feet in radius. The blast deals minor Ice-type damage.

If the Frostweaver has [Rank] or more stacks of Icy Veins after Frostfall has dealt damage, they may consume one to proc Chill of the North. This has a three exchange cooldown.

Rank II - Icy Floes [-]

The Frostweaver channels, removing one stack of Icy Veins at the end of each exchange they channel. Whenever they remove a stack of Icy Veins in this way, each patch of ice created by Chill of the North extends an extra 1 foot in all directions.

If Icy Floes is interrupted, it cannot be used again for 5 exchanges.

Rank III - Glaciate [10]

The Frostweaver touches an object or an opponent, infusing them with bitterly intense cold. At the beginning of the next exchange they take moderate Ice-type damage and, if non-living, are completely frozen solid for the next two exchanges. While frozen solid, any melee damage will immediately shatter the object.

If the Frostweaver has three or more stacks of Icy Veins, they can instead choose to concentrate the cold into a sphere of icy energy at a point within [Rank] feet of themselves, or anywhere in a Chill of the North patch. If an individual comes within [Rank] feet of an orb, or it is struck by an attack, it will release a burst of icy energy at the beginning of the next exchange that affects the entire battlefield except for a 5 foot diameter circle centred on the orb. This does not create Chill of the North.

Rank IV - The Dragon's Tithe [-]

Whenever an opponent takes Ice-type damage from a Chill of the North patch or starts the exchange in a Chill of the North patch, they lose 1 AP and the Frostweaver gains 1 AP. This AP can only be spent to cast Frostweaving spells. This can trigger once per exchange per opponent.

At Rank VII this can occur twice per exchange per opponent.

At Rank X the limit is removed.

Rank V - Fragility [-]

Ice-type damage dealt to enemies that were dealt Ice-type damage in the previous exchange is considered one tier higher.

Rank VI - Claw and Fang [-]

Whenever the Frostweaver has five or more stacks of Icy Veins, they sprout claws made of ice from their hands and feet. They ignore Difficult Terrain, their movement speed is increased by 1 foot while on Difficult Terrain, and their claws can be used for melee attacks. The claws extend out by one foot, but can be extended up to [[Rank]/2] feet in motion. Being hit with the claws does moderate Ice-type damage. Claws add double the stacks of Fragility upon striking an opponent.

Rank VII - Wintry Reprobation [-]

Whenever the Frostweaver's Icy Floes is interrupted, the excess cold energy lashes out violently. The Frostweaver regains all stacks of Icy Veins that they had lost during the channel, and a [11-[Rank]] area centred on the Frostweaver begins to glow brightly. At the beginning of the next exchange, anyone not within the marked area takes damage depending on how many stacks of Icy Veins were initially removed. 1-2 = Minor, 3-4 = Moderate, 5-6 = Major, 7+ = Extreme.

Additionally, while channeling Icy Floes, the Frostweaver can sacrifice any amount of AP per turn that they channel. For every 4 AP sacrificed, the icy blast is treated as if an additional stack of Icy Veins was removed.

Rank VIII - Breath of the Wyrm [2]

Breath of the Wyrm can only be cast on an target within Chill of the North.

The Frostweaver begins leaching the heat from the target, placing a debuff on them that deals minor Ice-type damage for each second that they are not moving. Whenever the target leaves a Chill of the North area while affected by the debuff, the Chill of the North expands to follow them with a delay of one exchange.

If a debuffed target comes into contact with the Frostweaver's blizzard it intensifies greatly, refreshing the duration of the debuff and upgrading the blizzard's damage by one stage.

The debuff lasts for [[Rank/2]] exchanges, with a minimum of two.

Rank IX - Rimeclaw [10]

In order to cast Rimeclaw, the Frostweaver must gain one stack of permanent Icy Veins.

The Frostweaver marks an area for the duration of the battle, [[Rank]/2] feet in radius. At the beginning of the next exchange spikes of icy energy puncture all targets within the area, dealing Strong Ice-type damage.

Whenever Rimeclaw is cast, it is also cast on each previous mark created by Rimeclaw. If the Frostweaver has five or more stacks of Icy Veins, it also casts in every Chill of the North.

Rank X - Dragonwrath [1]

The Frostweaver masters the cold within them, temporarily taking on a form reminiscent of Seiryu. They gain the ability to fly, and they suffer no negative consequences for having stacks of Icy Veins for the duration.

Dragonwrath consumes the entire battlefield, covering all surfaces with Chill of the North and the air with a blizzard. At the beginning of each exchange, the damage upgrades a tier.

After the damage has become Extreme overwhelming icy energy engulfs the entire battlefield, dealing Extreme Ice-type damage to all enemies and causing the Frostweaver to gain a stack of Icy Veins each second for ten seconds. Immediately afterwards the transformation ends.
