Mistshaping, School of Mists Empty

Innate Ability: Veil of Mists [-]

The user creates a [5 + [Rank]] feet radius cylinder of mist around them that is 8 feet high. This ability has a four exchange cooldown.

The mist obscures all vision into it from the outside, and reduces vision within it to a maximum range of two feet. The Mistshaper is unaffected by this, and can see through their own mist and the mist of other Mistshapers.

The mist moves at a rate of up to their speed. If the Mistshaper moves out of their Veil of Mists it will dissipate after [[Rank] - 1] exchanges, or at will.

The Mistshaper can have a maximum of [[Rank] + 1] individual patches of mist active at any given point.

The Mist can be dissipated by certain Wind-type effects.

Innate Ability: One with the Mist

For as long as the Mistshaper is stood still within the mist, they cannot be sensed by any means except True Sight (including by enemy Mistshapers). The Mistshaper is immune to True Sight for the first [[Rank]/2] exchanges they spend within each unique body of mist.

Innate Ability: Mistreader

The Mistshaper can sense the location of any entity within their mist precisely, as if they had True Sight, and track their movements.

Rank I - Hazeborn Tears [-]

The user fires a spherical globule of water, 1 foot in diameter, from their palm. If the globule hits an enemy, it deals major Water-type damage. When the globule hits an enemy, or at the Mistshaper's command, it explodes into a patch of mist [[Rank]] feet in radius (with a minimum of five). Hazeborn Tears costs one additional AP to use for each one cast beyond the first each exchange.

Rank II - Mistwalker [3]

The Mistshaper teleports to any location within their current body of mist. This resets the cooldown on Veil of Mists.

At Rank VII the Mistshaper can use Mistwalker to teleport to disconnected patches of mist.

Rank III - Break One's Word [[Rank]]

The Mistshaper counters a spell or Natrelmon move that started within the mist. Break One's Word is an advanced counterspell and can counter any spell.

Spells or moves countered by Break One's Word cannot be used within the patch of mist that they were countered in.

Rank IV - Disrupting Drizzle [-]

The Mistshaper condenses water and causes a light, magic-infused rainfall to begin within a ten foot radius at the beginning of the next exchange.

Enemies within the rain have their innate magic slightly disrupted, causing all of their moves and spells to cost 1 additional AP. Disrupting Drizzle's AP increase stacks with itself.

The Mistshaper can sense enemies within the rain as if they were in mist, but the rain does not obscure the Mistshaper.

The rain lasts for three exchanges, has a three exchange cooldown, and counts against the limit of bodies of mist.

Rank V - Confounding Mist [-]

The mist now distorts the other senses, causing them to only function within individual patches of mist. An entity in one patch of mist can only hear, smell, etc. other entities within that patch of mist.

Additionally, the mist reacts negatively to opponents that spend AP within it, causing it to deal 1 damage to them each time they spend AP on a move, a spell, or movement. Each unique patch of mist can deal a maximum of four damage in this manner.

Rank VI - Body of Mists [3]

The Mistshaper reduces their body to mist until the end of the next exchange, blending in seamlessly with the mist around them. While in their mist form, the Mistshaper can only take a maximum of one damage at a time, completely ignores physical attacks and terrain, and has a speed of 3. The Mistshaper can only cast Mistshaping spells while in mist form.

Body of Mists has a five exchange cooldown.

Rank VII - Mist of Many Secrets [3]

The Mistshaper causes their mist to actively prevent opponents from harnessing magical energy, causing them to be unable to use non-Mistshaping magic and disabling their passive abilities while within the mist. Additionally, the Mistshaper's spells cannot be countered while Mist of Many Secrets is active and the Mistshaper is within their mist.

Mist of Many Secrets has a cooldown of six exchanges.

Rank VIII - Dispersal [5]

The Mistshaper immediately dissipates each of their extant patches of mist, and stores the memory of the spells and moves that were countered by Break One's Word.

Then, the Mistshaper may create patches of mist across the battlefield equal to the number of patches dispersed minus one and redistribute the memories amongst the new patches of mist in any way they so choose.

The Mistshaper benefits from One with the Mist for the duration of Dispersal.

Rank IX - Lost in the Mist [3]

When an opponent would enter or exit the threshold of a patch of mist, the Mistshaper may teleport them to the threshold of another patch of mist. Lost in the Mist has a cooldown of five exchanges per target.

Rank X - Part the Veil [5]

The Mistshaper solidifies the boundaries of a unique Veil of Mists, magically preventing people or Natrelmon from entering or leaving its bounds by any means. This lasts for a total of 10 seconds.

Once used upon a Veil of Mists, Part the Veil cannot be used on the same Veil of Mists again.

Additionally, the Mistshaper can no longer be perceived by True Sight.
