Sven fiddled with his new ring as he sat on a park bench on the outskirts of Sakura. It was a very light yellow and shone faintly. It was his new Wispy. "I love the feeling of capturing Natrelmon." He proclaimed, rather to himself. It was quite the exhilarating feeling. He rubbed the ring and said a small incantation. His new Wispy, which he named Sprite, appeared in front of him, fluttering every which way.

Sven had to avert his head, slightly stunned by the light it gave off. The little fairies, as hard as it was to see them, looked worried and curious. The lead fairy, which was standing in front of the other two, starred directly at Sven. He was his new master. Sven simply smiled and patted its head.

He immediately wanted to battle with it.

Samuel re-entered Sakura, both his Volcanon and his Weddelbek at his side. The pair had become instant friends in the short walk back to the village. The small Grass type was springy and swift, teasing the slower, larger Natrelmon. They obviously enjoyed each others' company, for which Samuel was glad.

Blah blah sentimental stuff blah blah see another Trainer.

Samuel raised his hand in greeting. "Hello there! I recognized you from the Tournament registration," the large Trainer said. "How did you do?"

Even though no interaction between the two had ever existed whatsoever, and Sven hadn't seen this man in his life, he strangely felt compelled to answer. "Yeah, you were the... tall guy." He commented, voice low and indifferent. He slouched in the bench, looking up at the man with uncaring eyes. Wispy floated over to his shoulder, eying the Wedeleldlelblahwhatever.

The little glowing trio gravitated quite speedily over to the grass being, buzzing around its head and charging forward sporadically, only to cut off at the last second. Sven observed the behavior and made a resolution. "Want to battle?" He asked, still monotonous in tone.

The Weddelbek seemed a little distressed at the fairy-like Natrelmon buzzing around its head, but it attempted not to let its annoyance show.

Samuel smiled. "Yes. My name is Samuel," he responded kindly. He observed the Wispy as it circled Weddelbek's head with a slight frown on his face. He didn't appreciate the other trainer allowing his Natrelmon to get so close to Weddelbek. It wasn't common courtesy. But when the other Trainer requested a fight, Samuel jumped at the opportunity.

"I would love to battle!" A grin replacing his frown, he gestured down to Weddelbek. "I just caught this Natrelmon, and I'd really like to see the extent of its power. And I'm sure it's ready for a fight, too." He looked to the Grass Natrelmon for confirmation. The creature nodded enthusiastically. "Alright then!"

Returning Volcanon to its Relic, Samuel walked until his Natrelmon was forty feet from the opponent's. Then he motioned politely for the opponent to take the opening move.

"I just caught Wispy as well." Said Sven. He had ignored Wispy's erratic behavior because he thought it harmless and didn't really care either way. Sven outright loathed human interaction, but this man seemed tolerable enough.

Sven walked out into the would-be battle ground blah blah blah got in a spot blah blah blah. Wispy was hovering five or six feet from the ground, five feet from Sven, and forty feet from Weddelbek. "Alright, he wants to see what we can do. Let's show him!" Sven immediately became excited. He was determined not to lose this battle.

"Multibolt, ascend, charge!" From it's current standing point, the Wispy launched a powerful Multibolt. The electrical attack would speed along at an alarming rate until two more bolts split off. One bolt arched sideways, sweeping from left to right, honing in on the grass-creature's position. The second one flew up and planned to converge on Weddelbek's head, should another bolt hit it and stun it. The original bolt was still flying in a straight line towards Weddelbek.

While this attack was soaring through the air, Wispy took off into the air, flying upwards another five feet and then zooming forward, traveling at four feet per second. It would reach the Weddelbek's current position in ten seconds. It was charging electricity.

Samuel quickly called out for the Grass Natrelmon to dodge as soon as he saw the trajectories of the Multibolts. He commanded Weddelbek to roll forwards and to its left, out of the way of the converging electrical bolts. The Natrelmon complied, deftly evading the attacks. It came up in a crouching position, the grass that made up its body swaying in the wind.

"Implant and four Gaiashocks!" Samuel shouted as he saw the Wispy coming straight on towards his Natrelmon. Weddelbek quickly implanted a pair of seeds into the soil to either side of it. It then focused four Gaiashocks at the Wispy, one directly in its path, one above it, the others to the its right and left escape routes. At Wispy's speed, it would be impossible to stop in time to evade the direct attack, nor would it be able to change direction its direction fast enough to evade the secondary attacks if it decided to dodge in those directions.

"Fire, Sprite. Curve and counterattack." As Sven was finishing his command, the Wispy was already following orders. It launched a Shock at the Giashock aimed to hit him as he went forward. They collided and created a small explosion below Wispy, colors of green and white flashing before the trainers' eyes. By the time all of this was done, it was about five feet behind the Weddelbek, still ten feet in the air.

It made a half-circle turn to its right and descended five feet. It now faced the grass monster's side, and was around ten feet away. It fired a Multibolt at Weddelbek, as was ordered by Sven. It split once more, two prongs of lightning branching off and streaking alongside the original. They were spaced around a foot apart, and level with Weddelbek's shoulders.

Samuel's Natrelmon could not move forward or backward fast enough to dodge. Moving right or left would not help, it would simply still be hit by the original bolt, which was aimed directly at it. It would not be able to jump over it. If it tried to roll diagonally again or duck, Wispy was ordered to fire a Shock while it was vulnerable and most likely follow through again while it was stunned. If it was hit by the Multibolt, Wispy would still launch the Shock. It slowed down to around two feet per second as it approached the Weddelbek again. It was charging electricity.

Weddelbek was not stupid however. It wasn't going to just stand in one place, waiting for the next attack to come. As soon as its Gaiashocks were being countered, it tracked the Wispy as it came closer to flying above Weddelbek. Upon command from Samuel, it launched two Seed Missiles and another Gaiashock directly upwards to catch the small fairy Natrelmon as it passed directly above. Due to the Wispy's deliberate intention of completing its complex maneuver, it wasn't prepared to dodge these attacks and wouldn't be able to react quickly enough.

Immediately after Weddelbek fired its attacks, Samuel commanded his Natrelmon to begin following the Wispy as it slowed to a stop. What resulted was the Weddelbek being directly underneath the fairy Natrelmon as it fired its electrical attacks - directly downwards. Acting on its own impulse, Weddelbek leaped backwards, ending up below and to the Wispy's back, dodging the Multibolt and where Wispy would have no hope of launching a Shock.

After a command from Samuel, Weddelbek would fire two more Gaiashocks and keep pace underneath the Wispy as it continued its slow speed.
