An Unspecified Point Before Plot...

Isaac relaxed on a bench, Petal beside him. A while later there would be excitement. For now, though, he was blissfully unaware of this and enjoying the afternoon sun. Petal stretched out her branches, soaking in the sun, photosynthesizing. It was peaceful.

He drew a card from his pocket, glancing at the picture a moment. He hadn't used the dragon much since he'd caught it. Maybe he'd enjoy the open air. "Come on," he said, and summoned the Pendrag. It stretched out its wings, breathing deep the crisp air.

Of course, this was an immediate sign he was a trainer to any other trainers in the area seeking a battle...

Tashiro thought about battling someone nearby, he wanted to expand his skills, if he didn't he would always get beaten. In the distance, Isaac was sitting over on a bench with two of his Natrelmon, Tashiro thought it was a good idea to challenge him so he walked over with a friendly face. "Hey, you wanna do a double battle? Your Sakura-re and Pendrag vs Goll and Terird?" asked Tashiro with a friendly face.

Isaac smiled. This trainer was certainly quick and to the point. "Sure!" he exclaimed, pulling his briefcase to his lap. He nodded toward Petal, who hopped off the bench. "Start focusing for a root attack," he said casually, and glanced over at Pendrag, who was arching his back in the manner of a cat. "You... er... get airborne," he said finally, not really having much of a battle plan for the dragon. He'd never used anything like it before. The dragon followed orders, beating his wings powerfully, rising into the air...

Taking out a silver USB and with the same hand on the wrist there was silver pentagram. When Tashiro clicked a button on the USB there was a voice that said "Terird", both relics glowed, and released Goll, and Terird, Goll hovered in the air while Terird was across in front of Tashiro. "Goll go straight towards Sakura-re and use Ice Stream on Sakura-re!" Tashiro commanded as Goll started to fly straight at Sakura-re shooting a barrage of ice particles. "Terird use Gale on Goll, stay alert!" he added, as soon as Goll flew straight towards Sakura-re, Terird flapped it's large wings to boost up the speed of Goll, his attack, knock Sakura-re off it's feet since it was a small tree, as well as a defense. Tashiro knew about the Pendrag, he had a plan.

"Pendrag, counter gale," Isaac commanded. The dragon started beating his own great wings, creating an air current in opposition with the one the Terrird was making. The steel bird's wind was the more powerful, but the dragon's very much lessened the force. In addition, the air turbulence created by this would very much interfere with the Goll's flight, potentially causing it to crash to the ground. Finally, the 'small icy particles' of the ice stream attack would be disrupted by the gales, spreading out and diffusing to the point where damage from them would be negated.

Petal, meanwhile, had completed the first phase of the attack 'root tangle', her roots dug down into the ground. Now came the second phase. A multitude of roots erupted from the ground beneath the Terird, wrapping around its legs and feet, climbing up towards the body, and generally binding it to the tower of roots rising from the ground beneath it.

Isaac was very happy with the progress of the battle thus far, and was developing a plan for the Pendrag. It would need careful execution, however. He whispered something into the relic and then smiled faintly, returning to the sketch he was making of the Terird. It really was a fantastic beast, majestic in its own way. It was a pity that it couldn't take to the air, but it didn't seem too bothered by the fact.

Goll lost control of it's flight but regained control it's flight and followed it's original command of going straight towards Sakura-re shooting another Ice Stream. "Terird use your spikes then use Gale on Pendrag!" Tashiro commanded as Terird erected steel spikes all over it's body to make sure the roots wouldn't hinder it's moving abilities or stop it from attack, stepping back a bit Terird used Gale at the same time on Pendrag to knock it's flight patterns off balance.

Simply making the spikes wasn't enough to stop the vines, however, as they wound around the bases of the spikes, tightening their grip, rising up in the tower of roots. As it tried to step back and beat its wings, the bird fell backward, possibly injuring its reverse jointed legs as its weight came down upon them. The force of the gale would only push it down on its legs harder, increasing the damage. Then, having reached a height of twelve feet at the third stage of the attack, the tower... collapsed. The concussive force alone would be damaging. Further, the spikes the bird had made with metalmorphosis had come from its own body, weakening the structure of the body. This meant it would be more susceptible to the massive blunt blow.

Meanwhile, Pendrag continued to use Gale, now unopposed as the Terird was no longer in a position to generate one. The wind blew directly against the Goll, blowing its icy attack back towards it. Pendrag rose above the bird's current altitude as well, creating a powerful down draft, potentially making it impossible for the bird to stay airborne.

"Fire-electric!" Isaac exclaimed. The dragon opened his mouth and let loose a powerful innate fire-electric combo breath, the gale increasing the speed of the attack somewhat. It would bathe the steel bird in the yellow, sparking flame as it crashed into the ground, also igniting the roots clinging to its body. The bird was three times weak to the breath and, in addition to the massive concussive damage, would probably have a severely glowing relic after the attack.

Terird couldn't defend himself or Tashiro create a wall to defend from the attack from Pendrag, it was indeed a interesting Natrelmon. By now the draft would be over, as Terird came crashing down at the same time Tashiro took advantage of Pendrag being busy to attack Sakura-re. Sakura-re would be focusing on the attack, and so was Pendrag. "Use Ice Stream!" Tashiro yelled as Goll rushed towards Sakura-re shooting again a barrage of ice particles as he flew farther from Pendrag. Goll moved side to side, making sure he wasn't a easy target. After getting hit by both attacks, Tashiro returned his Natrelmon, he didn't want him to feel so much pain at once. It was now Goll alone against two high level Natrelmon, what a predicament this turned out.

"Petal, dodge! Pendrag, whirlwind!"

The first ice stream that had been blown back with the gale hadn't been dodged, and so plastered against the Goll, dealing very minor ice and wind damage to the bird, numbing its wings slightly. This slowed the bird's approach somewhat. The new wave of ice particles being launched met a feeble wall, which shattered after a second, delaying the barrage of icy particles slightly. This left Petal with just enough time to act. She ran off to one side, making herself a difficult target as well. She began goo jails at the bird. Any ice particles aimed at the plant Natrelmon would be caught up in the slime.

Pendrag, meanwhile, had turned as the Terird was withdrawn. He started beating his wings, generating a whirlwind towards the ice-water bird. The winds would pull further particles back towards the bird as well as pull the bird towards the dragon...

Tashiro had to try a risky move, let Goll be taken in by the whirlwind. "Dodge the goo and follow the whirlwind!" Tashiro yelled as Goll moved to dodge to it's side to dodge the Goo Jail but got taken in by the whirlwind, "Ice Stream once more!" Since the Whirlwind would draw air to the user meaning the constant barrage of icy particles would follow and go towards Pendrag unless stopped.

Pendrag's move was simple. As the Goll and its ice approached, he let loose another powerful fire-electric breath attack, the force of the breath enough to resist the pull of the whirlwind. It would engulf the Goll, who was twice weak to the electric part of it, and would continue to bathe it in the sparking yellow flame until the bird came in range for a physical attack. The ice particles would simply melt in the face of the higher level flame. The Goll also wouldn't be able to dodge due to the inexorable pull of the whirlwind.

It was possible the bird would be too weak to battle before it came in range for a physical strike, however.

Before any real damage could happen, Tashiro returned his Goll into it's silver pentagram that was tied on his rist. "I think that's enough don't you think? It was a interesting battle and clearly your much much more experienced. Maybe we'll see each other later." Tashiro said waving back as he left, little did he know a few hours later he would meet the same guy fighting side by side.
