Kyo relaxed off the side of the road and thought to himself under a tree while the wind blew gently. Kyo earlier spent his time training his Natrelmon, he had to improve but now he wanted to relax for a bit although in the back of his mind he wanted to have a rematch against Isaac. "I wonder if I will ever find him again, battling his might able to improve my skills even if I do lose." Kyo said to himself, and decided to get up and stretch his body. "It's a beautiful day though, kind of warm though but that's alright." He added happily.

It was just before Isaac would meet Ridley, and Isaac was on his way to the plains. He spotted a familiar trainer off to the side a bit, lounging under a tree. He hesitated, not quite sure whether he was up for a battle, assuming Kyo would want to, but gave in after a moment. A battle would help him even out his team's levels, maybe.

"Hey," he said, waving. With his other hand he drew out a card from his pocket - Grianos, the stone lizard. He wanted to help this little one... well, big one on to evolving, when it would become really useful.

Kyo took out his card for Feshru, he wanted to try again with her, and he knew that Isaac would be the perfect opponent. "I know that going against a Earth type isn't the smartest thing...but he used a Sakura against me." Kyo said as he threw his card to summon Feshru again, this time she was on her two legs. "How's your Sakura-re Isaac?" he asked ready to battle. ~This time I got to think faster, and better than before.~ Kyo thought crossing his arms.

"Quite well, thanks," Isaac said with a smile as he brought out his Grianos. "I see your Feshru is doing fine as well." He rather liked this trainer. Apart from Ashlee, he was the first Natrelmon trainer he'd met who was actually personable to his opponent... or her opponent, in the case of Ashlee. Something about training creatures to battle one another seemed to make people less than friendly.

Grianos let out a hiss and moved toward the Feshru aggressively, making good time across the ground. Soon she would reach the shrew unless something was done, and she had a considerable physical advantage. Grianos was well aware of this. She had a physical advantage over most of the Natrelmon she met.

"Good luck!" he called out, having intended to let Kyo make the first move but not letting himself get too upset about it.

Kyo waved and smiled back at Isaac as a sign of good luck too, but payed attention to the battle at the same time. "Close Quarters!" Kyo yelled as Feshru started to making a fighting stance that raised up her reaction time and power are increased dramatically in hand to hand blows. "Now focus closely and counter when you see a opening!" He added, he tried to do a new strategy against this opponent. ~The Natrelmon is big and it's fast on land...hmmm.~ Kyo thought but payed close attention.

As Grianos neared the shrew, it focused. A stone blade thrust up from the ground behind the Feshru, pointing toward it. The blade would be very damaging if it hit, given it would be hitting the spine and the shrew was very weak to earth. Of course, the most likely way the shrew would dodge would be to move forward... toward the charging Grianos.

"Um... yeah. Go, Grianos! Don't wait for orders or anything!" Isaac exclaimed, a little annoyed. Now he had a small want to see the lizard fail, if only so she would see the use of obeying orders...

"Side!" Kyo yelled, Feshru then spun around to the left, it was quicker than it was before for sure thanks to it's previous attack. Now Feshru was about two feet from the spike that lunged forward, since Grianos was racing towards Feshru and the blade now replaced Feshru so most likely the Grianos would get hit by it's own attack from the speed it was running. "Singe Bullets!" Kyo commanded, now since Grianos had to think about the incoming blade, Feshru would use multiple flaming Singe Bullets near the facial area of the Grianos. Kyo knew that Grianos resisted fire type attacks but the power, and focus Feshru had would raise up the irritation of the attack and do some burns probably.

Grianos turned to follow the Feshru, claws digging into the turf, her own massive weight giving her a lot of leverage in turning. As the singe bullets launched the lizard's head ducked down, bullets passing over harmlessly. Now getting quite close to the Feshru, the Grianos slowed, apparently getting ready for a physical strike and not wanting any quick dodges to interfere...

Isaac kept his feeble walls ready in the event of an unexpected attack. He'd have some training sessions with the lizard later, probably. She had to learn to obey orders, but she seemed to be doing quite well just now...

Kyo needed to think of something useful, the Grianos was big how could he be effective against this opponent. Kyo suddenly got a idea he wasn't sure if it was going to work but it was something to try. "Feshru jump back and use your fire breathing on the ground!" Kyo yelled, Feshru did just that, started to throw a stream of flame on the ground Grianos might start running. Kyo's plan was to super heat the floor, and since the temperature as well as the attack itself was very hot it should affect Grianos' movement in some way.

"Land Bridge," Isaac said, not particularly caring whether Grianos heard or not. The lizard did, however, and took at least that piece of advice. She manipulated the earth under her feet into slabs, making something similar to sandals. In this manner, she walked over the heated earth with relative ease, her feet never directly touching the ground. Any indirect heat transfer through the slabs was so minor that, with her resistance to fire, she took no damage whatsoever.

Meanwhile, the lizard was closing on the shrew, and would come in range for a strike unless something was done. Ranged attacks seemed ineffective on this foe, which left a close-range battle which the Grianos seemed well equipped for physically... what's more, the Feshru's Close Quarters would have just ran out, leaving it even less fit for a melee.

This couldn't end well...

Kyo was running out of choices, he was at a physical disadvantage and a elemental one, it was obvious that Kyo and Feshru was in a pinch. "I have no other option really..." Kyo said to himself as he waited for Grianos to come close enough for a attack, and to make sure he wouldn't be able to dodge it or move out of the way fully of the next attack. "Heat Rush!" Kyo yelled in time, Feshru quickly generated heat inside of it's body, it spun itself in a ball as it leaped forward aiming to slam onto Grianos' head. The Heat Rush could increase it's power in close combat, if the Grianos turned it would hit a large portion of the body, and if a slab of earth was somehow made Feshru could break through it since it was part fighting.

As Kyo yelled out his order, Grianos tipped her head down slightly, scooping some earth into her mouth, coating it with a layer of earth and stone with a slab. Grianos tilted her head up, watching the Feshru carefully and, as it came near, snapped it out of the air with a lunge. Unless the shrew could somehow change its trajectory in midair, there would be no way to dodge this attack.

Furthermore, the Grianos' bite would press the shrew's head into its belly further, stopping it firing singe bullets. The slab that shielded the Grianos' mouth blocked off a majority of the heat, which had yet to reach its peak, while adding a small element of earth damage to the bite, making it more effective. Even without a proper attack, as Grianos bit down with more and more force, bones would creak and come close to cracking, and the Feshru's relic would begin glow with increasing urgency...

Isaac winced in sympathetic pain, feeling terrible. This fight was a mismatch, even with the Feshru's apparent advantage in power! How could he have let it go on?

Kyo saw the Grianos' move, he didn't want Feshru to end up being shrew stew so he had to make Feshru turn mid air, but how? Oh wait how does a jet move? A hot air balloon rise up? "Stop and use your fire!" Kyo yelled out as Feshru was mid air it stopped it's spinning half way and spat out a stream of flame downwards to change it's direction away from the Grianos to the right. After the dodge Feshru would land a safe distance away, safe as in able to react quickly if Grianos chased her. That was a close one, Kyo almost lost Feshru if it wasn't for her fire breathing to change direction, for now Feshru's temperature increased further, she was a tad hot now. ~Dude...this is exciting.~ Kyo thought with a smile.

The thrust of the fire breath wasn't considerable enough to significantly affect its trajectory, however, and Grianos still snapped it out of the air as previously stated. The heat increasing was irrelevant with the slab shielding. By the time the Feshru would reach a level of heat powerful enough to damage the heat-resistant Grianos through the slab, it would probably be unconscious from the trauma of all the bone fractures and breaks, assuming the spine wasn't snapped at any point.

The Feshru's relic would really be glowing quite fiercely now, and any further delay in recalling it might lead to more permanent damage than could be healed with just one or two minor cures...

Before any real damage would be done, Kyo put out his Red Card. A beam of light shot forth and took in Feshru, Kyo once again lost to Isaac. "Man...lost once again. Good battle though, lasted longer than I did last time." Kyo said looking at his relic, "We'll fight another day, I'll win eventually." he said with a laugh and started to walk away and waved back at Isaac.

Isaac recalled Grianos as well, feeling a little sick about what had almost happened. He would have to be more careful about what sort of battles he took part in... if that Natrelmon had died he would have... he couldn't let something like that happen in one of his battles. Still, Kyo's confident attitude put him at ease somewhat. So long as he wasn't worried about it... well, it wasn't really logical, but it made it easier for him not to worry about it as well.

Isaac waved as well, trying to shift back to his normal, cheerful self. "Do you want to try now?" he asked, and winced, feeling that hadn't come out right. "I mean, your Feshrew should be alright after a minor cure or something, and I have an Omu that could... um... That is to say, your Feshrew could use the..." Isaac let out a sigh. "I can't say anything today. Do you want to battle again? My Omu versus your Feshrew?"

Isaac called out Omu as if to encourage him. The bird perched on his shoulder, glancing down nervously at his new trainer. He still wasn't sure about Isaac. Still, they had worked well as a team in their last battle, even though it had been inconclusive. That made him a little more trusting.

Kyo released the injured Feshru and cased Minor Cure on it, after a while the Feshru felt much better and started to jump around. "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger I guess." Kyo said laughing. "Feshru you up for another battle?" he asked wondering if she had the mental stamina to keep going, surprisingly she said yes and was ready to fight. "I guess we're going to battle." Kyo said with a smile.

Isaac nodded. "Great!" He took a moment trying to think of a strategy. He'd never really thought about what to do with Omu in a battle before. Perhaps an adaptation of Petal's strategy, to start... "Alright... Omu, take off. Blades and seeds immediately." His voice was confident, but inside he was worried, trying to think of a backup strategy in the event of this failing miserably.

Omu took off, rising up over the battlefield to an elevation of about eight feet and circled over the Feshru, easily out of range of the fire innate breath or melee attacks. She focused, and something pretty much impossible to notice at this time occurred. Then, small seeds began to drop from the bird's wings, moving quickly toward the ground where they would immediately begin to take root...

"Good luck! We can start whenever you're ready," he said, flashing Kyo and his Natrelmon a bright smile.

Kyo thought of a possible move that Isaac might try, the grass again "Feshru burn most of the grass using your fire!" Kyo yelled as Feshru started to spray flame all over the battle field, now small fires sparked that burned the grass and the seeds that Omu planted even though Kyo wasn't sure if that happened. "Stay alert though!" he added nervously, he wasn't sure what to expect. Most of the small battle field they had was damaged now so nothing could be planted unless someone redid the ground(lol).

In fact, only a small line of ground was burnt by the Feshru's innate breath, given it had only been used once before. There was plenty more ground to plant on, and plenty more grass. The grass within three or so feet of the Feshru was burnt and blackened, yes, given the fire innate's range wasn't infinite, but beyond that there was little damage done to the area. "Omu, use whirlwind and blades simultaneously," said Isaac, having come up with a new strategy. This one seemed promising. Still, he tried to think of a backup plan in case it was necessary.

The bird turned to face the Feshru, beating its wings. The Feshru was light, given its small size, and it would find itself pulled along the ground, through the grass which, it would be swiftly aware, was sharpened to a razors edge just before it came through. Even if it somehow managed to negate the grass damage, the whirlwind was still dealing somewhat continually wind damage.

"When you get close enough use your fire breathing again!" Kyo commanded, when Fesheru got somewhat close she blew enough flame inside the whirlwind to negate/damage the razor grass so it wouldn't harm her as well as slowly causing the whirlwind to a bit more like a whirlflame since Feshru kept going it as long as it was in there so minimal damage would be done. "Alright stop and use Singe Bullets!" Kyo yelled, since the Whirlwind pulled things towards Omu, the Singe Bullets would go towards Omu at a high rate, this was to stop the whirlwind itself and hopefully for Omu to get hit by one.

The fire innate was more of a wave of hot air by the time it reached the Omu, making it much easier for her to stay airborne. There wasn't really any additional damage from the fire innate breath, since Omu had that distance. The Feshru's breath was aimed skyward, toward the Omu, while it was being pulled across the ground and through the grass, so the fire didn't help much for defense, either. It still suffered cuts along its entire body in addition to the wind damage from the whirlwind.

"Omu, gust!" Isaac shouted at the same time, a new strategy developing. The Omu reversed its motions, now using its wind innate to blow the Feshru back toward the razor blade grass it had just passed through. The singe bullets were blown back toward the shrew as well, perchance to strike it and deal damage. Still there would be continual wind damage, even if the Feshru could somehow defend from the grass and singe bullets. Soon the Feshru's relic could begin to glow faintly...

Isaac focused on his feeble walls in case they would be necessary, although in the back of his mind he was pleased with how this battle was going. As he'd seen in his battles with Auren and Ashlee, flight was a huge advantage in battle, but only now was he truly appreciating it...

Kyo extended his hand quickly when Feshru flew out, he wasn't sure if it was needed for the spell Feeble Wall but ah well. "Jump off it!" Kyo yelled, when Feshru saw the Feeble Wall behind it, it jumped off a angle where it would dodge it's own Singe Bullets and avoid hitting the grass at the same time. "Heat Rush! Use your bullets if your tackle should fail!" Kyo commanded, now since this was probably unexpected the Omu would be surely surprised seeing a Feshru beaming towards it, and Isaac would probably use his Feeble Wall or something else obviously but that's what the Singe Bullets were for. Kyo knew his Heat Rush would take some time for it's effect to be noticeable.

Omu merely continued to create the gust. The Feshru leaped toward bird, and was pushed back toward the ground with force, dealing damage. The grass it landed on also carried that edge, however, and cut the shrew, dealing still more damage. The wind itself continued to deal its damage as well, and the shrew would now continue to be pushed through more razor-sharp grass... If it tried to fire those singe bullets, they would again be pushed back toward the shrew to deal more damage unless otherwise blocked.

At this point, the Feshru's relic would likely be glowing somewhat, with increasing intensity as the battle went on. It was clear how this battle was going to go, in any case. Perhaps it would be best to recall it?

"Use your fire to burn off the trail!" Kyo yelled, it only helped Feshru not get cut though it still hit the floor pretty hard, but it didn't get as injured as you would think. "I got to think...the birds up there, Feshru is down here..." Kyo mumbled to himself as he saw a tree nearby, and looked up "Maybe..." Kyo said grinning "Feshru! Go up the tree and stay up there!" he commanded as Feshru used it's sharp claws to jump up a bit and climb up the tree, thanks to the leaves it was out of sight from Isaac and Omu. In the meantime the Heat Rush was getting a bit hotter and Feshru was catching it's breath.
