" Hmmm... Well, this is awkward. " Said Night, awkwardly or course, to himself, and the piece of equipment in front of him. After spending the night in the hospital, he had been lucky to find his shoulder had indeed been dislocated, but no blood vessels had been ruptured or damaged in the process. However, he had indeed suffer from nerve damage, and though his shoulder had been relocated and put back into place, he would have to wear the sling for a full month as his body slowly repaired the muscle damage that still remained. His disclocation had been a rare case that usually only happened during seisures or when someone was being electrocuted, it was something called a "posterior' dislocation or soemthing facy, meaning parts of his shoulder, due to the weight of Flabara going backwards, had broke off from the rest and had been positioned over the shoulder blade, meaning his shoulder broke backwards.
What Night was talking of right now, was the pic axe and hard helmet that laid in front of him in his Inn room, it signified his temporary job as a miner here, because he was planning on making some money while he was in Ward before challenging the Gym Leader. But he had errr.... Ran into some trouble late last night before he could make it back to his Inn room. Something about an "epic throw" and what-not, but trusting the doctors, he was sure everything would be fine with time. Hell, he might even only have to have the sling for two weeks instead of a month! But that still didn't fix his current problem, how was he, Night Westing, gonna mine all day and earn money to support himself in Ward if he could only use one arm?
~ Oh well, I'll just have to make due with what I'm able to use at the moment! Maybe some of my Natrelmon could help me? A useless arm doesn't mean useless Natrelmon! ~ And with these optimistic thoughts, Night grunted and lifted the pic axe, slowly, and balanced it on his right shoulder. Luckily, he had dislocated his left shoulder, which didn't belong to his dominant arm, meaning he still had the best of whatever half his strength he still had left. Beginning to walk out the door ( Which Night had opened using his good shoulder, mind you ) Night took another deep breath and smiled. It was a new day, and he was going to make some cash, maybe find some new exotic things. He smiled merrily and greeted whole heartedly every soul he met on the street, male or female, human and Natrelmon. He even whistled a toon or two on the way, included was a song from another universe that may have induced nastalgia. Among the lyrics was " Hi HO! HI HO, HI HO, It's off to work we go, HI HO! " but in whistle form, anyone who passed him by couldn;t help smile. The smiling man with the seemingly broken arm ( The sling made it look like so and not many people were trained doctors that could tell ) was too cheery not be affected by.
Finally, he arrived at the mine, and with the smile that never left his face, he summoned out all his Natrelmon, even his new Flabara, which was happy to help its new trainer and comrades in some good ol' hard work. They dug, collapsed parts in the wall and helped Night lift his pic axe, and before the day was done, they had filled a good number of mining carts with useful ore that could be used to help someone make a new home or something. It was good to work hard!
