| Some time after Ashlee's battle, when Ankio would have recovered both sanity and Natrelmon health, Luke made his way into Ward arena, wondering if he was exactly in the right place, looking at a rather ordinary stone wall, the only odd cuttings the fact that it belonged to a cube. Sighting, he pressed inward at the door, finding that it opened, and closed behind him, rather automatically, torches springing to life around him... the budget seemed higher for this place, at least.
A rather eager dragon, only a foot high, hopped down and glowed, better illuminating the area in front of her trainer, to see the soon-to-be opponent. |

| "Ah, a new trainer." Ankio had literally forgotten all about Ashlee. "Welcome to Ward Arena! Shall we get started?" Ankio released Kaiguard onto the field. It roared, shaking the cave. Stomping one foot, it waiting in anticipation for Luke's first move. | |

| Luke nodded, and looked over at Faeron, giving a rather simple order. "Give it a sweeping pass!"
Understanding, Faeron's etheral wings lifted the small creature off the ground about three feet before gliding forward, in an attempt to fly past Kaiguard on the right, keeping about four feet distance at all times away from the creature, and quickly turn around before the rather bulky creature would have time to manuver. All the while, Faeron's glow seemed to increase in strength... |

Sorry..
Anyway, Kaiguard fired an Aqua Shot in the path of the Faeron, before it was able to turn. This would disrupt its fight pattern, giving it enough time to use its innate to strengthen itself from any airborne attack Faeron planned.
"Stand ready." Added Ankio.

| It wasn't difficult for Faeron to dodge, the small, light creature simply exerting extra effort in its wings for one moment to gain a spike in altitude, flying over the aqua shot as everything proceeded on schedule with Faeron quickly on its original attack, now only three feet away from and slightly above the Kaigara, allowing it a clean shot at the back of the head.
With a snap, Faeron let out its powerful lightwave attack, which was, indeed, not a physical attack and hence would completely pierce through Kaiguard's innate. Given the speed and charged power of this attack literally pounding at the back of the Kaiguard's neck with little chance to dodge or even see the attack angle, this would likely be a finishing blow... a killing blow, even, if Ankio chose to let Kaigaurd endure the entire attack. |

| Ankio recalled Kaiguard and released Wune into a sand pit. Wune immediately shot an Earth Shot at Faeron's soon-to-be position and ducked down, traveling to a sand pit some ten feet to Faeron's left. It poked its head up and giggled.
"Idle, Wune." Ordered Ankio.

| Aside note: Between the time that Kaiguard was recalled and Wune was called out, an aura automatically covered around Faeron and disappeared, completely restoring Faeron's move count and the small amount of stamina that it had lost.
Actual post:
It was of little difficulty for Faeron to simply gain a foot of altitude to go over the directly aimed earth shot, Luke keeping his ears open and his feet prone to the ground, carefully sensing any hint of Wune's location with body and mind; he saw, to Faeron's left, the upheaval of the giggling Wune, looking directly at Faeron.
"FLASH!"
With that as the only warning, Faeron's body emitted an intensely strong bright light, instantly blinding the Wune, leaving Luke to direct the creature towards the Wune with a simple point... if Wune tried to dig, it would hurt itself against the rock and become hopelessly lost underground. It would also be easy to position the Faeron behind the Wune with this strategy... |

| Wune thrashed around a little before being withdrawn. Ankio sighed and released Rhyferno onto the field. Rhyferno snorted and stomped its hooves. It activated its innate and charged directly at Faeron's position, fire pouring from the hooves and horn. It would reach Faeron in a few seconds. The dumb rhyno made sure not to fall into any water or sand pits. | |

"Flash!"
It was the same strategy: as the Rhyferno gained a great momentum, a bright light immeditately flashed, blinding the Rhyferno, after which Faeron ascended a few feet, then decided to fly forward, a dragon claw appearing at the end of its tail, to rake against the back of the rhino. In the confusion of pain and blindness, it would likely run directly into the water pit directly behind Faeron... |

Hold on..
Grianos launched two Stone Blades at Faeron, about the size of some of the stalagmites sprouting from the ground. They were aimed so that Faeron would have to fly between them, after which it would most likely meet a concentrated burst of earth and gravel.

Actual post:
Forming another dragon claw around its tail, the Faeron gained altitude, smashing at the top slab and throwing it off of trajectory as the Faeron elected to gain altitude, and quickly fly over and behind the Grianos, staying high so it would be unable to crane its neck upward and directly see the creature. It was gathering light while doing so, and, if left unimpeded, would use the same lightwave strategy as before. |

| Grianos's long tail dug into the ground and produced a stone blade, firing at the Faeron without turning around. It then turned around. Another Earth Shot came arcing upward from a sand pit left of Faeron. This would keep it busy. | |

| With no exact premonition for where the Faeron was, the first attack was easily dodged simply with another beat of the wings, quickly diving forward before the Grianos would have the chance to turn in full, firing its powerful lightwave at the center of the back of the creature, directly into the spine, before it would have the chance to use its second attack.
A crippling blow, that also put it out of range of the sand pit... |

| Ankio recalled his Natrelmon, threw Luke his winnings, and sat down and sobbed some more. | |
