| The Hunter
Shadow Cloak I - 3 AP Level 1
The Hunter detonates a smoke bomb at their location that they can see through. A cloud of smoke appears, five feet in radius, that lasts for one exchange. If the Hunter has attacked this exchange, this ability costs 2 fewer AP.
Adrenaline Level 2
The Hunter gains between 1 and 4 AP immediately, and loses that much AP at the beginning of the next exchange. Adrenaline has a cooldown of three exchanges.
Augment Slot Level 3
Tracking I - 2 AP Level 4
Whenever the Hunter would roll to encounter a wild Natrelmon, they may declare a specific Natrelmon that they would like to encounter. If the encounter roll is within 25 of the tracked Natrelmon's value in the encounter table, they instead encounter that Natrelmon.
Whenever the Hunter rolls to capture a Wild Natrelmon, they get a +10 bonus to the capture roll. If they are rolling to capture the Natrelmon they are tracking, this is instead increased to +20.
In combat, the Hunter is able to hide from sight. By spending 2 AP the Hunter becomes camouflaged, unable to be visually detected by enemies that are ten or more feet away from them. The Hunter can only use this ability while enemies cannot currently see them. The camouflage breaks once the Hunter deals or receives damage.
Specialisation Level 5
The Hunter specialises in tracking a specific type of Natrelmon, enhancing their tracking bonuses. Instead of rolling the encounter die, the Hunter can simply choose to encounter a Natrelmon of their chosen type that is within the rarity they rolled.
The Hunter starts combat camouflaged.
Augment Slot Level 6
Ambush I Level 7
Whenever the Hunter deals damage to an enemy that cannot see them, the damage is upgraded by one stage.
Disengage - 1 AP Level 8
The Hunter bounds backwards by ten feet immediately. The movement is not teleportation, but is so swift that it looks like teleportation. Disengage has a cooldown of three exchanges.
Augment Slot Level 9
Tracking II - 1 AP Level 10
The Hunter may now control the gender of tracked Natrelmon they encounter, and can reroll the encounter die once for every unique wild roll they make. Additionally, the Hunter may encounter a tracked Natrelmon if the encounter die is within 50 of its value on the encounter table.
Entering camouflage now costs 1 AP. Additionally, once per battle, the Hunter may enter camouflage even while being in sight of enemies.
The Hunter can no longer be located by footprints, by smell, or by sound or any non-magical means.
Shadow Cloak II Level 11
The Hunter's smoke bombs now provide a lingering veil of cover, allowing them to remain unseen until they move a distance equal to their speed or until the end of the exchange, whichever happens first.
If the Hunter uses Shadow Cloak after attacking and no enemies are within ten feet of them, they may instead immediately enter camouflage.
Augment Slot Level 12
Caltrops - 2 AP Level 13
The Hunter can deploy Caltrops in an five foot radius area. The first time an enemy enters the area they take one typeless damage if they are on the ground, and the area is treated as difficult terrain. Caltrops has a three exchange cooldown.
Light Steps Level 14
The Hunter no longer suffers from difficult terrain and cannot trigger ground-based effects by stepping on them.
Augment Slot Level 15
Ambush II Level 16
Once every five exchanges, Ambush now upgrades damage by two stages.
Shadow Cloak III Level 17
The Hunter can now place smoke bombs on the ground. It will detonate when an enemy comes within ten feet of it or at the Hunter's command. The hunter can also add Caltrops to these smoke bombs.
Augment Slot Level 18
Disorienting Blows Level 19
Whenever the Hunter successfully lands a ranged weapon attack or a Rank III or lower spell from stealth it also staggers the target for two exchanges. This effect has a three exchange cooldown per target.
Specialisation II Level 20
The Hunter chooses a second type to specialise in.
The Hunter gains True Sight of enemies that have a type they specialise in.
