Kree goes hunting... (Nervously) [Shore]

Kree walked slowly out of Toran, his camera bags slung lightly over his shoulder, going diagonally across his chest, the two bags knocking lightly together with every small step the young man took. He wore a white tee-shirt, no brand, just a plain white-tee. Kree’s eyes fluttered from left to right, a certain paranoia about them; looking for something that didn’t exist, a non-existent threat. It was one of his compulsive disorders, always thinking something is following him, checking to make sure nothing can sneak up on him. It did come in use sometimes, however most of the times it made him look jittery and nervous, which made people uncomfortable for some reason. There were not many people out and about at that time of night, which only served to make Kree even more nervous.

Eventually, the young trainer made it to the beach, feeling the change of texture underfoot, Kree froze. Stopped and turned, shaking his head completed another one hundred and eighty degree turn and trudged onto the sand. Unzipping one of the small pouches at his side he withdrew a picture, in black and white with a thickset white border of a Boru launching itself through the air, the Boru was in complete focus while the background itself seemed to be blurred. It was a very nice shot and Kree was proud of it. Taking a few moments to examine the photo and remembering when he took it, his brother propelling the small creature into the air, whilst Kree had spent hours preparing the scene, finding the right light reading and focus settings on his camera.

Placing the picture on the ground, Kree watched his Borumb seemingly grow out of it, it was already rather large in size, a tad larger then Kree himself, leaning forward to pick up the photo, Kree’s eyes darted suspiciously behind him, like he was eyeing something off. Putting the photo of Borumb pack into the pouch and retrieved his Polaroid Camera from one of his camera bags. The camera was loaded with a relic, so all he had to do was snap a photo and that would be his attempt at capturing the Natrelmon. If he could find one that is, Kree continued along the beach, still feeling uneasy, his eyes constantly darting back and forth. Every now and then the boy would spin around, thinking he had seen something, this caused Borumb, who was lazily walking to the left of Kree spin around as well, in alarm.

Kree had not noticed that it was getting later and later, so by the time it was late afternoon and there was a grey finished feeling to the day. The miners at Ward would just be coming up, to get their only breath of daylight for the day. Before resting peacefully and continuing on with the same ritual again. The day had dragged on for Kree, he had attempted to keep as much order as he could, attempting to go through his normal routine, however it was difficult. He may be in the same town, but he had so much to do, even that was recognizable by him. The beach had a very luminous feel to it, the waves crashing lightly onto the beach, then being dragged away. There was a light breeze which also assaulted him from the beach, tasting like salt it bothered Kree. He felt so exposed out on the beach, searching for Natrelmon.

His Borumb trudged along slowly, about a pace or two behind Kree’s shuffle, Kree looked scared even. His shoulders hunched, constantly looking over his shoulder, eyes darting from side to side. Borumb didn’t know why his friend was so scared all the time, Borumb thought he could protect him from anything that was out there. This obviously wasn’t the case. But the male Borumb who had recently evolved was feeling rather cocky and full of himself. The Borumb’s two eyes stared straight ahead, attempting to ignore the occasional spray or the annoying sand underfoot. The large iceball knew he was more suited to colder environments, environments he had never even laid eyes on. Let alone experienced the joy of them.

Kree was disappointed that he still had not found any Natrelmon, his camera had never left his hands, in that every eager pose, he enjoyed the lighting of Twilight and hoped he could get a great shot in. His packs and pouches rattled loudly as he walked quietly, drifting closer onto the hard sound, which he found much more pleasant to walk on. As he walked, a larger wave then the others rolled in, curling around Kree’s feet, his boots protected him for the most part, but the bit that did seep in produced a high pitch squeal and a quick sprint back to the sand. Water was not one of Kree’s favourite things. This was not turning out to be a very enjoyable experience.

Kree let his camera rest around his neck as he walked, the young man sighing and running his hands through his short hair and looking around, he still had not spotted anything. The beach appeared to be a barren wasteland to him, empty and devoid of all life. Maybe it’s the weather? Kree thought glumly to himself, it was an overcast day, though there was little chance of rain, It’s possible Natrelmon don’t like overcast days. It’s the weather. Kree had plenty of time to think as he walked, avoiding small dips and potholes in the sand, where kids had been possibly been playing earlier.

Kree turned and stopped, he was shore (sure, shore, get it?) he had seen something that time. Stopping and kneeling as he examined the landscape, it appeared to be devoid of any life, nothing there except the occasional gust of wind. Borumb had stopped and was also peering around. Kree stood up straight, stretching his back, attempting to get some feeling throughout his numb body again. Borumb gave, what appeared to Kree a sour look at his friend being taller than him when he stood up straight. Kree gave a short smile and ruffled the top of Borumb’s “head.” “Keep trying, bud.” Kree said, not sure if the creature understood him but was happy that they had at least some type of bond.

After another twenty feet down the beach, Kree stopped, sat and waited. He had enough of walking, enough of looking, he would sit and wait for a Natrelmon to find him; it couldn’t be that hard could it. Drawing some mathematical formula and equations in the sand, that he had been mulling over, he was wondering if it was a good idea to just head back and give up. It would be dark shortly and Kree didn’t feel like walking all the way back to town at night, he had his Borumb, but as nervous as he already was, it didn’t seem like a good idea. “I think we should just give up, Borumb. It shall be dark soon and you know how uneasy I’m already.”

A howl sounded near Kree. It was haunting, but it was peaceful as well. It was a mixed cry of emotion, yet was still something that was not going to hurt someone unnecessarily. To Kree's right, emerging from the forest, a white wolf appeared. Shimmering in the dimming light, it was a sight to see. It was a sight few people ever got to see. It was well known that Yoko was a one of a kind creature, something that made extremely, extremely rare appearances. Kree would be one of the few to have ever seen him.

The wolf looked at the trainer curiously, not making an aggressive move towards it. The much higher leveled wolf type would make quick work of any Natrelmon that Kree would try to place against it. If it even tried to fight it, it would quickly find itself defeated unless Kree was some kind of prodigy. However, even if he was skilled, he would probably succumb to the vast difference in the power of their abilities.

Yoko didn't open up any communication between Kree and himself, just watching the young trainer's reaction to his appearance.

Kree got nervously to his feet, looking to his left to locate his Borumb. It ambled up to him, body tense ready to throw itself in the way of the wolf at any given time. Kree had been running calculations through his head the entire time about how fast he could give the order, his Natrelmon could respond and the other Natrelmon re-act. He decided it wasn't worth it, mainly because the other Natrelmon would tear his Borumb to shreds and then possibly start on Kree as a dessert. Giving the slight shake of a head to Borumb, Kree examined his surroundings, attempting to find the best possible escape route should the wolf turn aggressive. Like they'd have any chance.

"Hello." Kree called softly, not seeing any major threat. Talking to it like he would any other Natrelmon that he had encountered. Kree believed all Natrelmon had the ability to speak and communicate, some just didn't feel like it.

Yoko sat down and watched the trainer, not giving a vocal response. It looked at the young trainer with great interest. He could tell that the trainer knew that he would have issues taking on Yoko. There seemed to be a smile on the wolf's face. It would linger for a few moment longer, but it would probably be best for the trainer to move on. Yoko was too beyond his level, especially with a creature like his starter, which would have issues fighting Yoko.

"Sheating," so to speak his Polaroid camera, AKA his "relic port," Kree turned to walk down the beach, his previous footsteps already disappeared due to the high tide rolling in. Kree was unsure if the Natrelmon he had seen had been rare or just a common wolf type. Nevertheless, Kree hoped he would one day encounter the creature again, to have a conversation with it. His Borumb just didn't seem to be the chatty type. The wolf however seemed all knowing, like it could reply and have a genuine conversation.
