Just takin' a strooooool. [Plains]

It was a cool evening day as Sven and Metosune set out to capture a Natrelmon. "C'mon, Stride!" Called Sven, chuckling as the fox attempted to keep up. ~This region has the best atmosphere,~ thought Sven, ~cool in the mornings, lukewarm in the afternoon, and comfortable in the evenings.~ Indeed it was comfortable, frosty to the skin but not enough to cool the muscles or insides. As they jogged through the moonlit night, Metosune howled once or twice, really enjoying the exercise. A light zephyr swept over the plains of Lifan, ruffling hair and fur alike.

It seemed that no matter how many times Sven searched, the result was usually unfavorable. Either the Natrelmon had no battle potential or they came across absolutly nothing. It was like some other-worldly being was controlling his odds with a dice-rolling program, and he sucked at it. But, it was irreverent, and Sven dismissed the thought immediatly. The sound of the creek Sven had traced back to his and Saibrah's pond made a soothing babbling sound, and it almost distracted him from the sudden sounds of snapping branches and stepped-on vegetation.

Both members of the party stopped. Metosune's ears perked up for a second, and it growled, pointing to the patch of grass fifteen feet in front of them. Sven instructed Metosune to follow him to a nearby grassy knoll, where they could wait out the time for the supposed Natrelmon to appear. Metosune barked once or twice, attempting to attract the attention of whatever was in that patch. It was impossible to make out shape or size, but a low thumping could be heard. Birds and small wildlife scattered, scarred out of their wits of whatever was approaching.
