Isaac stood outside the Arena, and took a deep breath. He knew he could handle this. It was only one of ten Arenas, after all. Not even one of the higher tier ones. His Natrelmon would be more than capable. Still, he had a nervous, tingly feeling, like someone about to ride a roller coaster for the first time.

His hand tightened on the handle of his briefcase as he stepped inside... and jumped as the doors slammed shut behind him. He impulsively pressed against them with one hand, and was a little upset when they didn't so much as budge. He took another deep breath, becoming very aware that he was now in an enclosed space with... yes... torches. Fire that took in the limited air. His hand tightened further on his briefcase as he moved quickly down the passage, hoping there was some vent or something supplying the room with air. I mean, surely there would be? No Arena master would want to... would be stupid or evil enough to...

He shook his head. Ashlee had been through this, and she'd been fine. She was a better trainer than him, but she definitely would have mentioned if the Arena master was evil or criminally incompetent. That comforting thought in mind, he proceeded to the main part of the Arena...

Ankio was not evil or stupid, High was just filling Isaac's head with idiotic thoughts.

Anyway.. Ankio called out to Isaac, "Ah, a new challenger! Welcome to Ward Arena. Shall we begin the battle?" It was a rhetorical question, as Wune was already being released into a sand pit some twenty feet away from Isaac. The worm cackled and lowered its body until only its head appeared from the sand. There were multiple sand pits near to the one it was resting in, for easy defensive moves.

Ankio turned his attention back to Isaac.

"Come at me with all you've got!"
