After Kyo's defeat against Isaac, Kyo decided to go back to Toran to face the Gym Leader there, he had no idea what else was in store for him. Kyo didn't really pay attention of what was in front of him, he just kept thinking to himself about what he should do in the future, he was glad that he had four Natrelmon now, though he had a lot to learn. "Man...this trainer thing is harder than I thought, but it's still exciting in a way." Kyo said with a sigh and smiled, Sakura-re as always was on top of Kyo's back pack, doesn't mean she was waiting for battle.

The night before Song Lin's encounter with the rare Narashi, she had decided to venture out even more than she had been. Separating herself from both Tomiko and Eien, she left the mansion secretly. To make sure she wasn't recognized, she had used a disguise. Walking up to some random trainer, one of the many that were out of towners, she gave the girl to buy some clothes for her. She had picked the girl by the way she talked and with a quick conversation, found out they were the same size.

Song Lin hadn't been entirely truthful when she asked the girl to get her the clothes. She said she felt self conscious about buying clothing and wanted the girl, who she flattered by saying she sounded fashion forward, to buy clothing for her. She also said she didn't want to go in, since she was tired. After finding out they were the same size, she asked the young trainer to purchase a new outfit for her that was very trainer-esque and to buy herself something nice as well, as a treat. The girl didn't even hesitate and quickly returned with Song Lin's disguise.

Once she was changed, using a restroom at a nearby cafe that was bustling with people, she was able to wander around Lifan without anyone knowing who she was. Her movements were slow as she listened to the sounds around her. The walking stick she used when she was by herself was making excessively large sweeping motions as she neared a sound. As it moved out to the right, it would hit Kyo on the right side of his leg.

As Kyo walked still thinking to himself and not aware of the things around him, he felt a tap on his right leg which caused him to jerk as if he awoke from a slumber. "Oh, I'm sorry miss, I should of payed attention." Kyo said bowing in respect, then he noticed that the girl was blind, he wondered why she was wandering alone in a crowded place. "Ummm, I didn't realize you were blind, again I'm sorry." He added politely. ~She looks like a trainer, no...she's blind...she can't be, crazy Kyo.~ Kyo thought laughing in his head of the idea.

"So you are more sorry now that I am blind?" she queried, her eyes narrowing as she turned to face him. While she couldn't see him, which he clearly figured out, it was still a slightly haunting look. "Just so you know, my blindness didn't make me run into you. It was rather intentional." She smiled a bit, unveiling what she had done....

"I heard the extra weight on your step, since whatever is on top of your bag isn't perfectly balanced. I was checking to see if it was a Natrelmon, which I think it is," she added, still not sure if she was correct in her assumption. "I was mostly curious, if you were a trainer, if you'd like to test one of your Natrelmon against one of mine. How does that sound?" She seemed very impatient as she looked at Kyo, clutching a relic around her neck. She was definitely ready to battle him.

Kyo was surely impressed that the girl could "sense" that he had a Natrelmon on his backpack, what he was impressed by was she wanted to battle him, what kind of blind girl is she? Can she really battle blind? "Well I guess I have no choice, plus it's a good time to test out my new Natrelmon actually." Kyo said as he was ready to fight, from his tiny bag pocket he took out a Relic D in the form of a brown-ish USB drive that had a small picture of a Durabee. Kyo lead Lin to a larger open spot nearby, it was a neutral plain with some trees around and green grass below them and gentle winds, "This is a good spot, agree?" Kyo asked as he clicked with his finger the middle of the USB and it released his Durabee out into the field.

Song Lin followed the other trainer, staying about 30 feet away from him as he walked. That way, they wouldn't have to separate when he decided on a battle location. She almost died laughing at his question though, asking her if the spot was 'good'.

"You I am aware I am blind, but can't remember longer than a minute or two?" she laughed a bit, "I have no idea what it looks like, so I will just assume it is a good spot. I can feel the general area, but for all I know, you could have lured me to a pit of quicksand or something." She doubted, from this display, that the trainer posed any threat to her physically. "Let's begin," she added, tightening her grip on her relic.

As she did, she murmured a prayer to Suzaku. The relic she pulled free from her necklace was revealed in a flat palm opening. It was her traditional summon. The relic took the shape of a lotus flower. When she exerted her power over it, it shifted from a red tint to a vibrant glowing blue. The light burst out from it and a glyphal pattern appeared all around her. The light shot out in an arc from many points on the glyph, condensing in a spot in front of her by about 12.5 feet, the traditional starting distance she had with her Natrelmon.

As the light dimmed, the form of a Reacat could be clearly seen. Knowing that he sent out Durabee, she prepared herself. Luckily, the flying type had a constant hum to it, making it relatively simple for her to distinguish from the noise around the area. At least her opponent hadn't try to play dirty by summoning a ghost or something she couldn't hear.

"Alright Durabee, go and aim your stinger at React!" Kyo commanded and Durabee flew with it's stinger aimed at React's body, he wasn't sure how this was going to go, she was blind and he had a new Durabee that had some limited attacks, nevertheless he was going to try even though he knew it was a fairly easy dodge, it was a test technically. ~I have to have an idea how she fights...she must have some kind of trick since she's blind.~ Kyo thought, he was ready for a counter attack.

"Reacat, react," she called to the cat, having the cat respond. The water cat jumped backwards as the Durabee approached, launching an Aqua Shot at the Durabee as it move, propelling it further back, about 5 feet in total while the Durabee would have its path altered by the Aqua Shot or Kyo would be using a Feeble Wall.

Song Lin hoped she was proving to be a challenge to this trainer. She hated to admit it, but this was her first battle like this. She definitely didn't want to come across as a novice. She felt her preparations had been enough to make her a bit of a threat. She had to assess a bit of the style of the other trainer and his Natrelmon before she made anything to aggressive.

"Dive! Then use Whirlwind and make slabs!" Kyo yelled, Durabee dived down to dodge the aqua shot, at the same time a sudden gust of wind started to draw in Reacat with strong winds and Durabee created stone slabs around it waiting for Reacat to come towards it and if it did it would use it's stinger to attack.

"Circle right," Song Lin called in counter to Kyo's order. As the Durabee dived, Reacat moved around in a wide arc. It would allow the cat type to quickly get on Durabee's side and allow it to avoid the Whirlwind. It was true the Durabee would still be able to turn and adjust any strategies. Without the whirlwhind to pull it near, the slabs would prove useless if there were trying to be used in some offensive manner.

Song Lin was pleased so far with what was going on battle wise.

Kyo started to think, what made Lin so confident in her abilities? What senses does she have left? Sight is out, taste, hearing and feeling...hearing? Kyo then looked and started to hear that Durabee's wings were very loud so it was easy for Lin to follow. "Durabee use your wings to create a gust!" Kyo yelled as Durabee started to beat its wings even faster, creating a gust of wind towards Reacat, now since there was a loud sound of gust, and the air patterns were messed up so Lin if she used her hearing and feeling to determine what to do would be useless now. "Ok Durabee turn this way and attack!" he added, using his hands to motion where to go since from that angle Durabee could see, and she aimed a tough tackle instead of a stinger attack, Lin suspected that probably. Durabee is a quick Natrelmon in the air, so probably by the time Lin would try to react it would be too late, she didn't know from what angle or kind of attack Kyo was doing.

Song Lin had no idea what the point of the gust was, the cat hunkering down at a hand sign from her to the side of the gust, letting it approach, seemingly because it had no orders aside from that. Song Lin's Natrelmon was not in between Durabree and Song Lin, making any disruption with her hearing minimal, at least in terms of the Durabee. Song Lin was more than able to pinpoint the location of the Durabee. Kyo wouldn't know this and as the bee approached, Song Lin waited to let her trick sink in while her Reacat awaited further orders.

"Now, four shots retreat," she cried at the Natrelmon, telling to do quick bursts of Aqua shot at the near point of impact with the Durabee while the cat was in the air, moving it backwards while the streams flew at the Durabee. This would hopefully take out the Durabee rapidly, or at least leave it severely weakened, since the trainer would not be able to block all of the bursts of water even with Feeble Walls and it would be nigh impossible to alter a flight path like that.... Even if Kyo used Feeble Walls, which would be difficult since Durabee would most likely impact with them before the water did, given the way the two were moving and the rules on Feeble Walls.

Durabee got hit by the four shots since there wasn't much to do after all the Durabee was weak by water types. Kyo had to do something, he wasn't having much luck with battling lately, but for now Durabee had to quit, it was a level 3 against a level 5 Reacat who is a water type. "Return Durabee." Kyo said returning his Durabee into it's USB relic. "It was a nice battle, good test run with my new Durabee though I think I need improvement." He said laughing. "Well I got a train to catch, maybe I'll see you around. Later. " said Kyo waving, he knew she was blind but he treated her like every other person.
