It was a little ways outside the city, toward the plains, a while yet before Isaac and Ashlee would meet up at the tree. Isaac was ambling at an easy pace, Sakura perched on his shoulder, no particular aim in mind. It was a nice afternoon, and he was just enjoying being out in the sun and fresh air.

Sakura yawned, stretching out her petals. She was enjoying the sun as well, but was getting bored. It had been a while since she'd been used in a battle. She wanted to test her abilities some more.

Kyo walked down the path outside to the city of Lifan, he walked on the same path that fused with Isaac's path. Kyo's Sakura-re looked over and sensed the other Sakura, she started to chirp alerting Kyo what she saw. "What's wrong Sakura-re?" Kyo asked as he looked and saw Isaac walking towards him when he stopped. "Oooh, another trainer with a Sakura." he said with a smile and waited for Isaac to walk up to him. ~I wonder if he has ever battled before with someone....~ Kyo thought.

((See https://natrelmon.forumotion.com/lifan-zone-9-f59/a-very-brief-search-t287.htm#1245 for relevant battle. Miss-post for the lose.))

Isaac tried a relic. The female Bruse looked injured, and he wanted to end this quickly...

Isaac spotted another trainer a little ways away, watching him. It was somewhat unnerving. He didn't try to communicate. He just stood there and... watched. He gave a nervous wave, hoping to elicit some sort of response...

Sakura, on the other hand, was less nervous. She saw the boy as a trainer by the Sakura-Re beside him, and puffed herself up, leaping to the ground and starting toward them determinedly. She wanted a battle, and wanted to look intimidating to whoever was her opponent.

Isaac saw her moving and sighed, shrugging at the trainer. "Um, my Sakura seems to want a battle. I don't think she could take on your Sakura-Re, though... do you have any other Natrelmon? Any type, really."

Kyo smiled as the little Sakura came over to him looking very tough, reminded him of his own Sakura-re with her fighting attitude. When Isaac asked him something he turned his attention to him. "Well I DO have this other Natrelmon that I captured and taught it a few things, I can use her." Kyo replied as he took out a Red Plastic Card from his back pocket and walked back a few feet to make plenty of room for battle. "Let's start, come out Feshru." Kyo said as he threw out his card and it flew into the air, glowing and released a beam of red light out and on the ground was a female Feshru. "Let's start the battle shall we?" He added with a smile.

Isaac nodded. The fire type could prove a difficult battle for Petal, but it was better than fighting her evolved form, which would have all her abilities and more. "Petal, sow and razors," he said simply, wondering whether such a simple technique might end the battle.

Petal focused for a moment, and something not quite noticeable happened. Then, she began to plant seeds using her grass innate. They would take root and begin sending healing energy to her continuously unless the Feshru did something, and she would only plant more and more of them the longer the fire shrew stalled. It would need to act quickly if it didn't want to fight an uphill battle...

Kyo quickly reacted from the first sowed seed, since he had a Sakura of his own he had a idea of what kind of moves Isaac would use, using the seeds was one of his guesses. "Feshru jump! Quickly use your flaming bullets on Sakura from the outside in then rush!" Kyo commanded as Feshru jumped mid air and shot his flaming bullets in a whirl pattern around Sakura then her directly. The reason it was done in a whirl pattern was to damage the seeds, trap Sakura if she tried to escape and then hit her directly for a super effective move.

Petal darted backward away from the Feshru, easily clearing the small area being targeted by the singe bullets. Though she herself wasn't struck by the bullets, the seeds she planted were, indeed, routed. She seemed irritated at this. One step forward, one step back... or so it appeared.

As the Feshru charged forward, however, it wound be in intense pain. The very grass blades it was now sprinting through almost seemed to have turned to razorblades... in fact, the grass now had a razor-sharp edge. The Sakura taunted the Feshru, moving backward at a pace equal to the shrew's speed moving forward.

Isaac winced, imagining what the fire Natrelmon must be feeling right now. Some of these attacks were so cruel...

Kyo had to do something quick, Feshru stepped on a few grass razors cutting her feet a bit. "Burn your area and dig!" Kyo yelled, Feshru did just that burning her surroundings and digging underground. A shrew is a shrew and most dug barrows for homes so this was natural for Feshru digging underground. Kyo grinned, Feshru could still hear above and feel what was above them so she dug around Sakura, most likely she wouldn't know WHERE Feshru was because she cannot sense underground or predict where he will come easily. "Use Singe Bullet as before when you come up then go back down!" Kyo commanded as Feshru came from it's side and shot several bullets up close, after it did it would quickly go back underground from the same hole it dug.

Feshru may have been able to tell what was above it to some extent by vibrations and such, but it was no earth or psychic type. Its senses in that respect were limited. Sakura was a small pink flower, incredibly light. That is why it wasn't able to hear her as she moved to the hole that was dug, focusing, flapping her petals.

A whirlwind formed directly over the tunnel, not sucking things out of it, but into it. Those razorblades of grass that the Feshru had dug to avoid crossing were now uprooted by the whirlwind, being sucked down into the hole. Small twigs and pebbles were also sucked in. The Feshru, not yet having surfaced and still making its tunnel, would have absolutely no way to expect or dodge this sneak attack.

The twigs, pebbles, and razor blades would bombard the Feshru all at once, causing damage. The trainer's relic might even begin to glow at this point.

The tunnel entrance itself wouldn't be too big since it's enough for Fesheru's head to come out and shoot the bullets and shrews don't dig slow either so it wouldn't hit Feshru right away. "Jump out quick! and land safely by burning the grass!" Kyo yelled Feshru jumped out not too high, it used it's fire breathing skill to burn the grass and landed. "This guy is tricky, smart too. But I need to get close..."Kyo whispered as he had an idea. "Dig again and keep using the same strategy around Sakura!" Kyo commanded and Feshru did just that, dug and came up randomly everywhere for a second around the battle field, attacking for a second then went down. It didn't focus on it's attack for too long.

The hole was, in fact, big enough for the shrew's entire body to fit through, since its entire body had fit through it when it dug the hole in the first place. As for digging speed, while shrews didn't dig slowly, as such, it could only dig so fast, and the attack moved quickly enough that it would strike the shrew before it could finish digging the hole to jump through.

So it was that the attack, not otherwise blocked or evaded, struck the Feshru, cutting up its skin very badly and pummeling it a bit. The debris would continue coming through the tunnel and damaging the shrew until it naturally plugged up, although that would take a moment and the wind would still push the debris up tight against the shrew. Withdrawing it at this point would be wise.

"Good match!" Isaac called out, flashing the trainer a smile. "Digging was a mistake here, though. The name's Isaac Kinsley!"

Kyo returned his Feshru, it was his first battle and he lost kind of badly but never the less he did good, he learned something. "The name is Kyo Takamashi, we'll battle again some day, this was my first match." Kyo said as he waved at Isaac and walked away.
