The doors blew open as Saibrah confidently strode into the Heat Arena of Toran. The room was barren save some boulders and a man, presumably the Arena Leader. Orkora slithered alongside Saibrah, hissing as it zig-zagged across the Arena floor.

Saibrah stopped some fifteen feet from the snoring man, and proclaimed loudly: "Sir! I would like to challenge the Toran Arena!"

With in the blink of an eye, Eclipse's hand was extended outward, and his hunting knife that doubled as a relic flew by Saibrah's face, cutting off a small wisp of his hair, but otherwise not damaging him at all. The knife continued and stabbed itself into the ground somewhere some twenty feet away. Looking up at the boy that had come to challenge him, Eclipse stared for a moment, blinked three times, then yawned. " Sorry about that, I thought you were a Xiao, they've been more bold lately, coming into the Gym and shooting Barbs at me while I'm sleeping.... Little devils.... Anyway! You're here to challenge me? I'll accept your challenge! As soon as I find my knife and you get on that large rock pedestal near the door, I don't really have much funding so it's the best I could do! "

Taken aback by the sudden throw of the knife, Saibrah listened to the Arena Leader and then followed his instructions, stepping upon the large rock. The distance between the Emleaf and Orkora was now fifty feet. Saibrah ordered Orkora to slowly slither along the floor, closing about a foot per second. Long range attacks would do nothing against a nimble Natrelmon like Emleaf.

Emleaf turned so that it's head was facing its master Eclipse, who nodded. Emleaf turned back towards Orkora and the challenger. Keeping an eye out so as not to lose the small snake in the big field, Emleaf began to march foward as well, going through the Arena at a steady pace. It did not want to get caught off guard by this Natrelmon, who was a Water type, and Emleaf being a being of pure fire, it really, REALLY hated water.

"Ok, let's see what he's got. Pick up the pace, Orkora." The Orkora sped up to two feet per second once it reached thirty feet from the Emleaf. In ten seconds there would be no distance between them. The water snake fired three Aqua Shots at Emleaf three seconds after it sped up, spread ten inches apart so that it could not go around them or squeeze between them without taking damage, and a foot off the ground so that it could not simply duck and remain uninjured without opening it to an easy elimination by the Orkora.

It then fired a shock two feet above those Aqua shots, in case it tried to jump; Saibrah seriously doubted that the Emleaf could jump three feet into the air and dodge the Aqua Shots plus the Shock. The Emleaf would have to take one of the blows. It was up to Eclipse which one it would take.

" Singe it Emleaf! " Ordered Eclipse as he jumped down from his rock pedestal, beginning to run towards his Emleaf so that when he finally got up to where he was, he'd be 10 feet to the right of Emleaf. As soon as the command was uttered, Emleaf opened his mouth. A milisecond passing between each, Emleaf fired 6 Singe Bullets from it's mouth, so that the first three would hit the middle Aqua Shot, while the other two continued to go towards Orkora.

Eclipse ordered this as soon as the Orkora opened its mouth to attack, for he was keeping a look out after his Challenger ordered Orkora to speed up. Though he hoped the attack would be a shock that could be nulled with the Singe Bullets, Aqua Shots could be beaten as well. Emleaf also, just in case, ducked a bit after firing.

Eclipse wondered why the other trainer tried this tactic. Didn't he realize that Emleaf could simply jump diagnally so that it dodged the shot that was coming down the middle and all the Aqua Shots?

Just to clarify, the Aqua Shots were being fired side by side, not one after the other.

(( Also, I was a little confused about the ten inches apart thing. You didn't say whether they were one after the other ten inches apart, or side ways ten inches apart. I assumed the latter because that would be the smarter move... ))

However, because Aqua Shots were made of water and Singe Bullets were made of small pieces of burning coal, physics dictated that the Singe Bullets did not dissipate the attack, but simply heated the water up, which would deal double damage as the Aqua Shot impacted the Emleaf's chest and the other two scathed his arms. The heat dealt damage to grass, and the water obviously dealt damage to the fire. Eclipse's relic would be glowing severely.

"Finish it, Orkora." The snake fired a Shock directly at the wounded Emleaf, who would have hopefully been recalled by now, and backed up ten feet to the left, not taking its eyes off of Eclipse.

For some reason the 5 SOLID pieces of coal wasn't enought to take out the force of the liquid burst, and seeing this, Eclipse recalled Emleaf before the burst was even near it, he was an experienced Arena Master, he knew what hurt his Natrelmon. Smiling he called out, " Congratulations on your win! But you're now facing a Natrelmon.... A little bit better than Emleaf. Good luck! "

Appearing out of the relic in his hand, Ocalia was ready to go, glancing with her sly cat eyes at Eclipse, while keeping a tab on Orkora with her peripheral vision and heightened sense of hearing. Eclipse meanwhile wondered what Orkora was tyring to do, as all it did was do an odd movement to the side before dropping it's head. ~ Is it trying to move backwards? Snakes have to face the same direction they're going in.... ~

Orkora immediatly raced forward at the cat, closing the distance of five feet in three seconds. Rapidly and furiously, it fired three Aqua Shots with a little less than a second between their launches. They were positioned horizontally and ten inches apart. It would have little more than a second to dodge, which would be very difficult.

It planned on constricting the Ocalia once it came face to face, but had not made a move to do so yet, leaving enough room to dodge any attacks. It charged a Shock just in case, and Saibrah raced forward, standing ten feet away from the action with a Feeble Wall ready.

Orkora, for some reason acting without any orders from it's trainer, went right up to Ocalia, closing the distance as posted, and fired off three Aqua Shots as it did so, however, it fired them right into the air, for it wasn't under orders from it's trainer to do anything else. It just fired off three Aqua Shots, 10 inches apart, 1 second after the other, into the air right over Ocalia's head, and attempted to shoot her on her buttox for it had miscalculated the distance, not being under orders from it's trainers, and thought that it was farther from Ocalia than it actually was, and, seeing how it couldn't redirect now, fired the Aqua Shot right at Ocalia's buttox from a diagnal angle. Ocalia seeing Orkora about to fire, moved foward just as the snake opened it's mouth, meaning it fired right over Ocalia and hit the ground behind her.

Having not made a move yet to constrict Ocalia, Orkora was simply sitting there, again, with about three centimeters between it and Ocalia. Ocalia, obviously bothered by this, fired 8 Singe Bullets from her mouth as Orkora was firing at where Ocalia's butt just was, point blank, from the bottom of Orkora's head/jaw, to the top of its neck, down the length of it's body to where it met the floor.

The Singe Bullets were fired as Orkora was shooting the Aqua Shot, again, so the Shock had not been charged yet.

Because the Ocalia just ran face first into an Aqua Shot fired at point blank range, Eclipse's relic was glowing profusely, and the Ocalia was extremely confused and dazed. Orkora, assuming the fight with Ocalia was over, slithered closer to Saibrah's position rather than Eclipse's. It's eyes, however, were on Eclipse and was watching for the next Natrelmon he released, refusing to be taken by surprise.

~Well that was.. easy.~ Thought Saibrah.

For some reason, Ocalia apparently went backwards and got hit in the face by the Aqua Shot that was meant for it's buttocks. Confused, Eclipse recalled his cat Natrelmon and looked at the relic. ~ Maybe she was just tired from our other battles...? Ah well, can't let this bother me. Onto the next one. ~

" Congratulations challenger, you've taken down my two first Natrelmon. Prepare for the next one! "

Holding up a silver necklace with an emblem of a Volcanon on the end, Eclipse smiled once more. A red mist soared, not from the emblem, but from the chain of necklace itself into the air 20 feet above him. Where an Atrix was formed, she tweeted and whistled while shooting a bit of fire while doing so. She was ready for battle.

"Shock, Orkora." Orkora stayed in position fifteen feet from Atrix and fired three Shocks in a horizontal (meaning they were side by side) at the Atrix. Because it was diagonal and the attacks were spaced ten inches apart, the only direction it could dodge was down. Up resulted in it smacking against the ceiling, it obviously couldn't moved forward or to the sides, and birds could not fly backwards.

Orkora fired a shock seven inches under its first attacks, which would meet the Atrix's body as it flew down, because it would have to dive and wouldn't drop in that much altitude that quickly.

Seeing as they were diagnal, and due to the distance of fifteen feet, plus twenty feet in the air, Atrix had plenty of time to just fly straight foward three feet. Causing the shocks to sail beneathe her and fly behind her where they hit the cieling, which was actually 5 more feet up. So Atrix actually could have flown up.

" Good Atrix, swoop down when you have the open shot! " Ordered Eclipse, making sure Orkora didn't fire anything at at Atrix.

"Now!" Ordered Saibrah. Orkora sprang forward, firing two Shocks in the Atrix's flight path, because it had not stopped flying.

Because these were fired almost completely vertically at the Atrix, one would hit it if it continued to move forward, and one would hit it if it moved up or down, because the Orkora had fired one three feet in front of the Atrix, and one two feet in front of the bird. The one that was further away was fired first, obviously.

Orkora continued moving, keeping an eye on the bird by moving slower after launching the second Shock and turning its head.

Due to there still being a thirteen foot distance when the shocks were fired, the shocks were pretty much not even close to vertical. Atrix followed Eclipse' earlier command of swooping down, and dived straight down almost vertically, the diagnol shots went above it, striking the cieling. If the Orkora didn't stop doing that, it might hit one of the heaters and cause an explosion, which Saibrah would have to pay for.

Dipping five feet a second after the Shocks were fired, the Atrix pulled up just as the shock soared over her, so that she was gliding now beneathe the attack towards Orkora. Opening her mouth, Atrix left three Singe Bullets fall on Orkora, aiming for its head, three inches down the length of its body from it's head, and three inches down from that.

They were fired quickly, and as soon as this happened, Atrix pulled up so that she was going diagnally through the air, and was veering side to side at random intervals.

" Good job Atrix! Keep away from the Orkora, don't let it hit you! "

The distance between the two was now about 7 feet, if you tyalked in terms of evelation, this move made Atrix about 16 feet off the ground over Orkora.

"Zig-zag, Orkora!" Ordered Saibrah as it saw Atrix position itself to fire the Singe Bullets. As the last pellet left Atrix's mouth, Orkora was already two feet to the left, far away enough so that it remained unscathed.

It then suddenly turned to the right, aligning itself parallel to the Atrix's new route. There was a six foot difference between the two. (If you're confused at all about this, I'll draw something up on MS Paint to show you.) Orkora turned it's head slightly and fired an Aqua Shot, which arched upwards, eliminating the side and upward escape points; and fired two Shocks, one two feet in front of the Atrix (The zagging wouldn't matter, it would reach the Shock nonetheless.) and one under the Atrix, effectively eliminating any forward and downward routes.

Orkora turned sharply to the right now, Saibrah keeping an eye on Orkora and Atrix, ready to cast a Feeble Wall to block any attacks from behind.

Atrix fell out of the sky, and then returned into it's relic, the Gym leader seemed to be very tired of this battle, he was glad he had only one Natrelmon left before it was all over. He summoned out Volcannon who was at least 15 feet in front of the Gym Leader. "Use Heat Rush then Singe Bullets!" He yelled, Volcannon then was super heated, and it started to spit out five singe bullets that were really hot because of Heat Rush, and were coated in flame. The bullets were fired quickly towards the water snake, with power and focus behind it, it made it pretty fast.

Because the Singe Bullets had been fired a few seconds apart, Saibrah was able to cast a Feeble Wall behind Orkora - because that's where they were coming from, behind Orkora - to give it enough time to make a sharp turn to its right after Saibrah quickly ordered it to, and then another sharp turn to its right. It was now facing Volcannon, seven feet away, Singe Bullets successfully dodged. Reason being, the first had been blocked, and the others took a few seconds to get there, giving Orkora enough time to turn and dodge the other four.

Orkora now fired three Aqua Shots as it sat in one spot. These Aqua Shots were fired horizontally (side by side), and spaced a foot apart each, and moved fairly quick. Because they did not have that much ground to cover, it would be impossible to dodge, considering Volcannon were heavy creatures and jumping would be impossible. They were also slow, sluggish. Moving two feet to either side, which it would have to do to dodge them, considering their spread, wasn't going to happen.

After these were fired, Orkora stayed in its position, ready to dodge and counter-attack. Saibrah was also ready to use another Feeble Wall.

"Fire." Flare commanded simply, Volcanon fired it's cannon straight at the water snake as soon as it shot the first Aqua Shot, since it was a cannon that was given a boost thanks to Heat Rush again, and the fact they were seven feet away it was also pretty hard to dodge since the water snake still had to fire two more shots out, and the fire stream was released when the snake fired its first one. The other two Aqua shots to the side if fired by some very very lucky dodge which couldn't be possible, were to hit if someone Volcanon moved which he didn't. Also, a Feeble Wall would be useful against a stream attack.

Volcannon's cannon was elevated a few feet from the ground. Orkora was fairly short, being a snake. Thus, firing at Orkora would result in the Inferno Cannon being an arcing attack, first going a few feet into the air and then coming down upon Orkora from a diagonal angle. Thus Orkora only had to move a foot forward, easily dodging the attack. Saibrah also cast a Feeble Wall behind Orkora, which was slanted diagonally, which would give Orkora enough time to fire the other two Aqua Shots that were mentioned in my last post.

And thus, because Lat said they would in his post if Orkora successfully dodged, which it did, all three Aqua Shots landed. One hit Volcannon's face, one hit the barrel - or Volcannon's back -, and one hit the left leg. This would cause Volcannon's leg to buckle, tilting it to one side. This would interrupt the Inferno Cannon. It would also be succumbing to extreme pain and damage, because of the three quadruple-damaging moves that landed, one particularly to the face. Volcannon's relic would be perpetually glowing right now. It would be wise to recall the beast, because Orkora had just launched another Aqua Shot at the walking volcano's face before retreating a few feet to the left.
