| Ridley and Olena stood in the forest near Lifan, contemplating. It was a few hours before his battle against Eien Odayaka would begin, one of the earliest in the Beginners' Tournament. So, to kill time before it, he had ventured out into the forest in order to see if he could catch a wild Natrelmon in the meantime. It was a serene area deep in the forest, but Ridley could hear distant sounds from various parts as a large number of Trainers attempted to catch wild Natrelmon, like him. He hadn't seen many near him, though.
He hadn't given much thought to what Natrelmon he'd like to capture, either. As he was, Ridley was just beginning his Trainer journey with Olena, and consequently only knew a bit about various Natrelmon. Obviously, a bird Natrelmon or a fire one would prove useful, but anything at this point would be good. So long, of course, as it wasn't of a type variant similar to Olena. In that case, he'd probably trade it to somebody, as another Ghost or Dark type would be superfluous.
Olena danced around the forest, enjoying the gloom and isolation the tall trees provided. It weaved in and out of shadows, twisting in the air, flipping, spinning, all kinds of acrobatic moves. Ridley watched her vaguely, more interested in scanning the enviroment for various Natrelmon. This deep into the forest and furthest from civilisation and the sound, light and movement repellent that it was, Ridley hoped his chances of encountering one would improve. Only time would tell, however. |

| Rolling for Happle:
- E Relic: 80% - Rarity: -10% (Uncommon) - Level (2)x1)= -2%
Roll threshold = 68% or below = capture. = 69% or higher = fail. |

| And then, as he looked, a wild appeared.
Ridley could tell it was a Happle, just by the distinctive appearance. I mean, really, where else would you encounter a steel-coated apple? Silently, not wishing to disturb the Happle and have it roll away, he withdrew a blank mirror from the custom-made belt-holster he wore and reflected the Happle's image within it. It appeared weak, and so Ridley would attempt a capture.
"Come hither." Ridley intoned loudly, enough to draw the Natrelmon's attention.
As the Happle turned towards the sound, the capture incantation took effect. Because it was weak, and startled, it worked, despite the Relic only being a pathetic E-rank. The Happle struggled momentarily, but was overcome in a matter of moments, and was drawn into the mirror. That mirror immediately changed a green and silver design, to reflect the primary colour scheme of the Happle.
Elated, Ridley holstered it. |
