Tournament Rematch!

Carl walked near the plains near Lifan, having come disappointed from his unsuccessful capture. Crowire was flapping silently next to him. As he walked, he spotted a figure in the distance. Approaching carefully, Carl now found out that it was Auren, the same Trainer that Carl lost against in the Beginner's Tournament.

"It's you. Want a rematch?" Carl said, halting Crowire with a flick of his wrist.

"Sure. Bet or no bet?" Auren smiled, pulling out his book for Orinoco. "It seems that your Natrelmon is considerably stronger this time. I'd have to use my new stronger Natrelmon as well. Want to agree to no spells or anything like that as well?" Auren brought out the Orinoco, who was still kind of confused about what it was doing here. It hadn't even gotten to fight yet.

"Orinoco, you're going to be dueling that Crowire. Good luck." Auren looked down at his compulsory compatriot, smiling gently.

"Anyway, we'll both have a type advantage on offense, this should be fun." Auren smiled, looking forward to the fight.

~This should be a good opportunity to learn all of Orinoco's tricks. And this guy's a decent sport so nobody should die.~ Auren though to himself, while waiting for the response.

"No bets, no spells. Just Natrelmon in this one. " Carl said.

Crowire hovered in front of Carl, about ten feet up. The two Natrelmon were about twenty-five feet apart. The plains consisted of soft soil and grass, so it would be an even fight on that turf. Both Crowire and Carl were pumped, spurred on by recent losses and the Ocalia running away.

"It's your move. " Carl said.

"Use an Ice Type attack. In fact, pretty much ignore your water abilities for attacking and defense. Anything other than dodging and utility." Auren called out to Orinoco, who stayed ready to dodge if Crowire attacked while she was receiving instructions. If she was not attacked, approached, or otherwise acted aggressively against, she would unleash a small focused blue ray of air towards Crowire.

At the same time that Auren started to speak, Carl also spoke softly to Crowire.

"Radio wave, then duck. " Crowire did, and fired off the static into the air. It would cloud Orinoco's reaction times, and hopefully give Crowire an advantage.

Crowire ducked harmlessly under Orinoco's ice attack.

"Multibolt! " Carl said. Crowire fired off the Multibolt, it heading directly for Orinoco.

Orinoco activated his innate to counter Radio Wave, then sidestepped the multibolt attack, easy enough because all the three multibolts were aimed directly at him. He then unleashed another of the cold breaths at Crowire, aiming at the base of the wing.

At this range the fight could last for a long time.

"Dodge, and fly slowly in a circle, spiraling in, but stay alert to dodge!" Carl yelled to Crowire, who obeyed. Again, the icy beam passed harmlessly next to Crowire.

"Multibolt, but aim it around Orinoco as well! " Carl said.

One bolt streaked towards Orinoco, and the other two to it's left and right. Due to the Innate, which still allowed movement but at a slightly slower pace, the Orinoco would have to move forward or back to avoid.

The Orinoco moved forward, firing a Shard at Crowire, one to the right, and one above. It's forward movement, just a short hop, was quick and easily accomplished.

"Duck slightly, gain speed, and fire another Multibolt! " Carl said.

Crowire ducked beneath the Shards, and started flying a lot faster. It loosed a Multibolt again at Orinoco, this time to the front, back and left. Still, Crowire could easily dodge any attack Orinoco threw at it, since it had plenty of time to change direction, being about twenty feet up now.
