Rota was tired from walking around the city of Lifan without any rest. About the time he gave up he saw a small park. The park was about twenty feet by thirty feet. In a few patchesw teh grass was overgrown, and there was a few vines growing on a fence toward the North and another toward the south. At the west there were about three small trees, forming a triangle, the tallest was three feet. There was a small newly planted oak tree near the center as well. A small fountian was built near it.

He saw what he was looking for, right behind the oak tree and fountian, a small bench. It was about two feet off the ground, with a one and a hald back. The three boards were about three feet long and four inches wide. It was made of metal toward the foundation, but, the boards and back were wooden. The foundation was just a tad rusty and the back was missing two or three inches worth of wood. It was turned opposite of the fountian and oak tree, and was just about two feet from it. He set down toward the right of it.

Rota hadn't let his Volcan out for a couple of days, since he got there, and so he summoned the Volcan. He watched as a couple of wind(flying?) type Natrelmon flew overhead of the city. He and his Volcan were the only people or Natrelmon in the park, though, he could see numerous people walking past it. Some walked toward it, but, were called away. He yawned, this was boring, he preferred walking around. ~Maybe someone with A Natrelmon will come by here, so we can have a practice battle...~ He thought.

Perhaps to Rota's surprise, in the park was another bored trainer, not too far from Rota and sitting on a park bench, looking around with a rather bored gaze, as if he were just sitting down to think. A small yellow dog, a Datic with a slightly frayed blackish tail, was actively tugging on Luke's sock, which seemed to have just started to happen, as Luke took pretty quick note of it: "No!" Luke said, in a stern voice, finger in front of the dog's nose, who just stared at the finger, perplexed, tail still wagging for the fun of playing with Luke's sock.

This Datic had a lot of energy to burn, and quite frankly wanted to do something active. This was opposed to Luke, who wanted to sit down for a moment, causing the Datic to find interest in the first slightly-moving thing he could see. Taking a deep breath, Luke looked over at the other trainer, and smirked, standing up, Datic following close behind Luke's left foot. "Hey, how's it going? Luke's the name," Luke said, rather simply and in a rather friendly tone.

Datic looked over at the Volcan intently, tilting its head curiously, as Luke gave it a glance before looking back over at Rota. "So, how about a practice battle? Datic could really use getting rid of some of that pent-up energy..." Luke explained, Datic merely holding back from the Volcan knowing that the Volcan would actually fight back if provoked... at least, it most likely would.

"My name is Rota, and I have been wanting to battle for a little bit." His Volcan, who was at the exact average size of a Volcan looked at the Datic. "I'm willing to battle you, but, only for practice. Oh, only one round, please." Rota continued as his Volcan was looked at the Datic, waiting to "play with it". Rota stood up, and streched a little, and then sat back down. His Volcan moved about two inches closer to the Datic. "So how long have you been here, and mind chatting while we're battling?" Asked Rota.

The Volcan looked intently at the Datic, and walked a little closer, about ready to attack. "Volcan, down, wait until the nice man tells his Datic what to do. We're letting them go first." Volcan walked back toward Rota, looked at him, made a little sad face, and turned around. "So Luke, go ahead and make the first move, I'm willing to see how effective it is against my Volcan." He streched again, and took a small bottle out of his pocket, and took the last swallow that was in it.

Luke nodded, took a step back, and gave a snap, the Datic, about eight feet away from the Volcan, firing an electric shock from its mouth towards the creature, aiming for the center of the massive beast so that the attack would be hardest to evade. Datic kept his feet tensed, so that, if it needed to, it could move in any relative direction away from the Volcan.

"I used to live in Lifan; I was born here; though I've only been back for a week. I attended school in Ivlser, you see," Luke briefly explained, carefully watching to see what the effects of this single shock would be... against the earth type, it probably wouldn't be as effective as against a mono-fire type.

"And yourself?" Luke asked, keeping focus on the battle now, only listening to his opponent by ear.

Rota responded, " I lived in Relin for quite a time. Infact, that was the only over the ten largest cities I was at before I got here." Volcan stood his ground, he was only a little bit wounded, though. Volcan started the technique "singing bullets". He first opened his mouth, and shot about ten "bullets" from it. Nine of them were coal spheres that had a voulme of one inch, the other was also a sphere of coal and exactly twice as big as the others. All was aimed directly toward the Datic, the largest in front, with the other nine and inch or two behind it.

"Though, I am only a begginer trainer, this is my sixth or was it fifth Volcan, the rest all died. I trained this won twice as far as I did the other five, or was it four?. Those, I trained to the area where one's natrelmon must be for official natrelmon battles, if they're your starter. At least, from the way I learned from my dad. So is this your only natrelmon, or do you have more?" Rota asked, he only paid attention to the Datic's movements and the attacks of his Volcan, with his eyes that is. His other senses were on the conversation.

Luke merely gave the same order: another snap. Luke pointed at the direct center of the coal attacks, which Datic ignored: it already knew where to aim to cause massive damage... after all, with fire versus electricity, explosions were bound to happen.

Four shocks were sent out in a line to prevent the use of feeble wall to block them. The shock that would make it through was aimed at the direct center of the largest singe bullet, just as it would be coming out of where it had to come out from: the Volcan's mouth, just as the shells were leaving. This attack would funnel electricity into a nonconductive attack... which would invariably explode as the electricity would rend it apart instead of running through it.

As such, Volcan would be dealing with a point-blank explosion to the face... it wasn't fatal, but if it worked, it would definitely be enough to put Volcan out of commission. Luke realy didn't want to say much at this point...

Rota noticed the moves of the Datic. He, however, couldn't find out if the attack was point blank. He announced, "Good moves, Your Datic, he seems to be at the lower levels of power, while mine is ten. I was never very stragetic at this." He watched as his Volcan fell back from the explosion. "You win, that was a mighty quick battle, though, I do need to go and check some more Natrelmon, anyway." He said, as his Volcan was still conscious, but, struggling.
